This year, I will enjoy every last drop of summer. I want to feel the warm air on my shoulders, taste the salt on my skin, lick fruit juice from my fingers and let my mind be quiet with just a book or a drink in my hand. Last year was so busy with wedding planning that we didn't spend much time outside just enjoying lazy summer days. Even when we did manage to soak up some sunshine, I feel like we didn't really relax into summer mode. Wedding planning can be intense. There is a lot to do. And I admit, I felt like my brain was constantly whirring just trying to keep track of it all. Most people have never coordinated such a large event before, let alone one that they were so emotionally invested in. It's hard work & the best kind of work, but I wish we'd been better able to disengage from wedding planning once in while and just enjoy each other's company.
Brigitte & Brad seem to have mastered the art of going with the flow. They've planned their wedding in just a few short months and definitely know how to take time out to relax. When we wrapped up their sunset engagement session at Spanish banks, I left them to enjoy a picnic with a bottle of wine and a full spread of cheese & fruit. Here's to the good things in life my friends!

Do you know that feeling you get when you discover a place and it's just magic? The location we chose for this shoot is one of my new favourites. Sun soaked warmth, arid brush, bright flowers and so many birds. I love photographing in natural, outdoor environments. I feel like it's easier to find yourself in a peaceful, relaxed mindset, let go of everything else, and just be with each other.
