The Wedding Adventures: On getting it done

A few weeks ago we hit 99 days until the wedding. Two things happened. First, it suddenly dawned on us that all this wedding talk is real. The wedding seemed so abstract when it was 1.5 years away, 1 year, 6 months... but now it's pretty clear. We're actually, really getting married very soon. Second, we started doing things on our to-do list. That to-do list has mocked me for months as I slowly plod away on one project at a time. Now, it's go-time. We're on a mission and we're getting it done! We're this close to sending out invites (it's a process people!), we went to some wineries yesterday and picked up a few cases of wine, I did a site visit to our ceremony spot so we can finally get our permit. Oh yeah, and I canvassed the neighbours so we can get a noise permit to play music at night. (People were really friendly but that was still not my favourite task). It feels so good to check things off the list. So incredibly good. The list is massive, but everytime I cross one little thing off, it's satisfaction x 10.

And one of my diy projects is coming along nicely. Here are the sweet peas I'm growing for my bouquet.
